On-Campus Dates for Summer or Fall 2008

*transfer students only (transfer students who wish to be considered for merit-based aid should audition at an earlier audition date).

Orchestral Conducting Applicants who are invited to campus will be contacted shortly after December 15 to arrange an on-campus audition date. The on-campus audition dates for 2008 will be announced soon.

Choral Conducting Applicants who are invited to campus will be contacted shortly after December 15 to arrange an on-campus audition date. The on-campus audition dates for 2008 are February 6, February 8, and February 13, and February 15.

Doctorate of Music Education Applicants who are invited to campus will be contacted shortly after December 15 to arrange an on-campus interview date. The on-campus interview dates for 2008 will be announced soon.

Please note: All voice students auditioning at a regional site must provide their own accompanist. Percussion applicants may not audition at a regional site.

Scheduling Auditions for 2008 - 2009:

Upon receipt of the Supplemental Music Application, an audition will be scheduled for you. If an audition cannot be scheduled for a regular audition day, please contact the Music Admissions Office for details on other options. The Supplemental Music Application will be available in early September

CD recordings are accepted in lieu of a live audition. However, students admitted on the basis of recordings are not guaranteed priority consideration for merit-based aid. All CD recordings should be submitted no later than February 1. If admitted on the basis of a recorded audition, one must perform before the division concerned no later than the fourth week of the first semester in residence.
