In 2007, Allerton Park was named one of the top seven wonders of Illinois for its beautifully unique retreat facilities, spectacular formal gardens, a mansion modeled after the 17th century Ham House in Surrey, and its miles of nature paths studded with Robert Allerton's collected art.
