Halima Krugh

University Bands Office Support Associate

B.A. Speech Communication, University of Illinois

Ms. Krugh provides administrative support services for the Bands Division and reports to the Director of Bands. Her role includes front office management, communications, and task implementation as necessary in support of university bands. She is the first point of contact for students and faculty, bands alumni, university departments, and visitors. Her responsibilities range from managing projects and coordinating events, to hosting guests, to assisting faculty and students.

Ms. Krugh has experience in the industries of television, federal government, banking, sales and human resources prior to joining the University of Illinois Bands. She was the recipient of a scholarship from the Arms Control, Disarmament, and International Security unit to study abroad in India under Dr. Rajmohan Gandhi. In later years, she served on a team teaching short-term English lessons and providing music programs to underprivileged youth in the Ukraine.

Passions for music, students, and community attracted her to this position. Public relations, event planning, hospitality, and organization are strengths Ms. Krugh brings to her role in serving the Bands program. She can be contacted by email or by telephone at 217-333-3025.
