ILLINOIS SUMMER YOUTH MUSIC

Illinois Summer Youth Music offers outstanding music camp experiences for string and full orchestra students. The Senior Orchestra is open to students in grades 9-12.For the Junior Strings and Junior Orchestra, students must be grades in 6-9.In each orchestra, the acceptance of strings is based on the completion of the information requested on the application form. Winds, brass and percussion students are placed in both the Senior and Junior Orchestra following the auditions the first day of camp. These students rehearse and perform with both the orchestra and the symphonic band. Keep in mind that attempts are made to keep balanced instrumentation in the orchestras.
